Quick Sabbath Tuna salad recipe

Here's a quick and easy tuna recipe to make some good ol' tuna sandwiches during the sabbath so your stomach won't be growling during service or after! As my family is growing it feels like I spend 8 hours alone
in the kitchen. I don't have that much love for food to be spending all that time in there so I need something fulfilling and easy so we can eat and be merry.

Quick Tuna Salad
  • 1 can tuna
  • 1/2 diced red onion
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 2 tbsp mayo (more if you like it creamy)
  • 1 boiled egg
  • 2 tbsp relish
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp sugar or honey
  • 1 tbsp onion and garlic powder
  • you can add 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes or chilli pepper or paprika if you want some spice
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • any other herbs like parsley, celery or coriander
  1. In a bowl mix everything except the tuna, boiled egg and spices together. You want to form something like a dressing.
  2. Drain your tuna. Add the tuna and then mix together. Then you can tell if you want it creamier by adding more mayo.
  3. Season you tuna salad with the spices to your liking, add in the diced boiled eggs and mix together.
  4. Taste. Put it in a plastic container with a lid and refrigerate.
This can be done in as little as 15mins. Switch up the herbs and even add some boiled vegetables and pasta. It tastes great cold no need to heat up. Top with some cheese or put on some bread and you ready to go!
